Midwest Haunters Convention is next week

And it can't come soon enough. This day job I got going on has been getting their money's worth out of me and I surely need a break. And, what better break than hanging with my fellow haunters?

I'll be hitting the road (or airways) Tuesday afternoon and will be in Columbus in plenty of time to board that pre-tour bus on Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to the pre-tour. Not just because of all the haunted places we get to see, but, it helps me reach my personal goal of having a cocktail in each of the 50 states. I'll get to add PA and WV. (It's good to have goals, especially if they involve alcohol.)

Check back in the next few days for more info.

Well, I'm totally behind

And, I took very few pictures in NOLA. (quit yelling at me!)
Here a three that I took at night that are kinda cool. And, video of a parade in the French Quarter late Saturday night.

Partying Like a Highschooler

Mercy, mercy me. I've done some seriously stupid partying this weekend. But, I did manage to get in a few things haunt related.

Went on a Vampire Tour which was pretty dang good. The tour guide (which means "out of work actor" in French according to him) was amazingly good. If anyone comes here, I recommend you ask for Tony for your Haunted Vampire Tour.

We also did a plantation tour at Oak Alley which has been visited by Ghost Hunters. And, they will be back in October. They don't think it's for the live show.

I'll include some of the stories from both of these tours a little later on. For now, I have to get back to drinking. After all, it's New Orleans and it's my Birthday!!!

NOLA, My Babies!!

Tomorrow I'm off to New Orleans. I'll visit some cities of the dead, take the haunted plantation tour and drink (and drink and drink and drink and drink).

I have a brand spanking new camera, which will hopefully improve my picture quality. Though, I think they are crap mostly due to operator error.

Regardless, stay tuned for pics and comments.

After that, I stay put in my beloved Chicago for two whole weeks before heading of to Midwest Haunters.

Some of us opted to party in the lobby during the costume ball

WORM! WORM! WORM!
This is the same guy that did the worm for us at Transworld. He's our new BFFL.
Eric is a very bad girl. BAD GIRL!!! Can you pick what's different in these two photos?
Mark thought he caught the gorilla flu.

Costume Pics

Our crew sat in the lobby while the costume ball was going on, but we still got an eye-full.

Trade Show Floor

These pictures are from both Eric's and my camera. Enjoy them! Here's a close up of the above columns. These are really cool looking but the photo from far away does not do them justice. It was just meant to give you an idea of the height.
This "lady" rocked back and forth telling kids to quit playing in her yard and that her feet were cold.
Is Matt gonna eat that? Really? Even with the swine flu epidemic?
Not sure why this is painted this way. Maybe a 3-D effect in a dark room?
OK, the above picture is pretty crappy. I'll try and snag a better one from Pam. But, check out how realistic the center one is below.

Saturday Night Haunt Tour

These pictures come to us compliments of Eric who specifically requested I give him credit. I said it wasn't part of our original contract, but, being the kind and decent person that I am, I decided to credit him anyway.

After the initial long wait to get in, I only heard good to great things about this haunt. It's apparently three buildings and they are all good. I might try and give it a go in October.

Looks like someone used that castle facade I liked so much at Transworld.
