Harry Potter - The Exhibition

How cool is ths? The Museum of Science and Industry, right here in my beloved Chicago (even with the corrupt politics, it is still my beloved Chicago) will be having a Harry Potter Exhibit next year!!!

Here's the link . . .

It's going to run from April 30th to September 7th. Now, as most of you know, Hauntcon will be in Milwaukee in 2009 from April 30th to May 3rd. And, Milwaukee, of course, is this/close to Chicago. So, I propose some of you extend your trip, hightail it to Chicago, and check it out. I'll go with you. Honest I will!!!

And for those of you that haven't looked into Hauntcon yet, here's that link. . .

Calvary Cemetery

Ok, weather permitting, I'll be hitting Calvary Cemetery in my home town of Evanston on Saturday. Let's keep those fingers crossed. If so, there will be a ton of pictures here on Monday.

Interesting side note, my highschool boyfriend, Steve, taught me how to drive in this cemetery. Something about not being able to hurt or kill the dead should I hit them with his car.

Here's a link to info on the cemetery. . .

It's too quiet out there. . .

This whole post-Halloween slide into Winter Holidays thing makes for an entirely too quiet Haunters community. Just a month and a half ago we were all working hot and heavy on our Halloween props and going to haunts. There were all kinds of pictures being passed around of our toys and props and decorations and costumes.

Now. . . silence. . . Oh, how I long for the sights and sounds of October. There is no patch or gum or anything to help me through this withdrawal. So, I shall create my own.

I will go on a cemetary tour this weekend. Then, the Boys of Mystery Man in Omaha will be here on the 29th. We'll hit a ghost tour. Then, Boston in mid-January with the East Coast Haunt Club crowd for ghost hunting and pub crawling.

I can make it through . . . I just know I can.

What are the rest of you doing to keep Halloween alive during these "other" holidays?

Go Team Tubbie! Go Team Tubbie!

Ok, this isn't at all Halloween info, but, Team Tubbie will be playing live trivia tonight, December 2nd, at Madriver on Sheffield. Come and join us. I ain't so bright and can use all the help I can muster.

We will be drinking many spirits, so maybe that's the Halloween tie-in.
