Fun Freebies

Today we saw an inside rainstorm and Neptunes brats batteling it out for ruler for the world.

The rainstorm was amazing. The ceiling of the Miracle Mile Shopping mall is painted like a sky and every once in a while the lights dim and there's lightening and thunder. Then, in the middle of the mall, there's a huge downpour.

The talking statues, on the other hand, were what we in the biz call lame. Really bad animatronics. Fire pretty. Dragon cool. Words warbled.

Last night, Patti, Pam and Mike met up at Quarks with some other haunters and many, many Star Trek geeks. Lotsa a good people watching.

Patti and Mike went to the infamous Fremont Street to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Many people in all shades of green. Really cool high in the sky screen show. Patti can't get "Hush" out of her mind today though.

Pam's adventure took her to the Venetian. . . evenutally. First, though, she had to coral a bunch of drunken haunters onto the monorail. It's like the first time they'd ever traveled on public transportation. By the time they got there, they'd forgotten the purpose of their destination, the gondola ride. So, they just sat and drank.

Debbie's free fun last night was tv. She got hella sick the day before the trip and has been laying low. She did prove her geekdom by texting really obscure Star Trek refences to the gang while they were at Quarks.

First Big Loss. . .

Today I lost big. Real big. . . at the Gelato Table. Learn from my mistakes, folks, and stay away from the Gelato vendor in the Forum Shops in Ceasar's Palace. I had a medium and it was $18. I'm off to sell a kidney.

Mmmm. . . . good

We had an exceptional meal at Battista, Hole in the Wall last night. We highly recommend it. You get two bottles of wine, salad, a italian dish of your choice, garlic bread and a whipped cream coffee drink. We are still ever so full.

When in Rome. . .

We can't go to Vegas without seeing one of their famous topless shows. We found one right up our alley.

It's apparently a haunting tale of vampire girls who seem to have misplaced their blouses and is set to rock n' roll music. We have extremely high expectations.

Green Beer for Everyone!

We're heading out to Freemont Street tonight to celebrate this, the most holy of Irish Holidays. Look for us on Cops.

Random Pictures

Told you I could get a man!!

Showtime!!

We've been to the big show, and all we can say is there are many more lingerie booths here in Vegas than in Chicago. Who knew you could be a sexy Freddy Krueger girl?

We have seen alot of cool props though. Like to see 'em? Here they go. . .

Let the Blogging Begin. . .

Debbie, Patti and Pam have made it here to Vegas all in one piece. Now I guess we need to figure out how to break us apart.

Pam got here yesterday, but totally forgot that the show started today. So, we really have no news to report on the show.

However, she did see Penn and Teller and we will post pictures tomorrow (after we buy a cable because over cold medicated Debbie left it at home). That Penn is about 8 feet tall.

Debbie and Patti were delayed (boo-hoo) because of a dust storm. Don't worry about them though, the flight attendant gave them a case of pretzels and many, many snack packs.

It's now almost 7pm and we're about to get our drink on with our fellow haunties from Omaha. We'll have much more news tomorrow, and pictures (God willing) so please check back.

PS. Pam learned how to play craps today and won a whopping $4. She's not retiring yet.

Information on Cody's Memorial Service - 3/18

To All Haunters

You are invited to join us for a gathering of Cody's friends and family to remember his life. In his short life time he touched a lot of people with his quiet smile and giving nature. To support Tim, Tina, and JW during this very rough time in their lives please come and bring your thoughts and memories to share.

We will have a short ceremony and anyone that would like to say something please feel free to do so. After that pictures, stories, etc. will be there to share!

When - Tuesday evening March 18th
Time - 7pm to whenever
Location - Green Valley Park, 370 N Pecos Rd

I was given the idea of this park by a charming young lady that works at Haunted Enterprises in Vegas. This is a fairly new park and is used for this type of event often. Tina felt that Cody would get a kick out of the fact that this park is considered haunted! The spirits are of two young children who a long time ago were playing on the train tracks and were hit. The park is built over the tracks and they say the kids come to play in the park. It is on the Las Vegas Haunted Tour, and also talked about a lot on their TV news due to sightings. So we think there is no better place to remember our haunting friend then a haunted park.

The start of the Memorial will be there and if it is to cold or raining we will decide where to go from there. Please bring candles! Make sure they are such that you don't get burnt with the melting wax.

Thank You
Mike and Kathy Marcrum
